To become a Canadian citizen, most applicants must be a permanent resident and have lived in Canada for at least 3 out of the last 5 years (1,095 days), have filed your taxes, may need to pass a citizenship test, prove your language skills in English or French

Renew PR Card

You must have been in Canada for at least 730 days during the last five years. These 730 days don’t need to be continuous. Some of your time abroad may count towards the 730 days(Contact us for details). The applicarion can only be submiited in-land.

PR Travel Document

If you don’t have, or lost a valid PR card or your card is about to expire very soon and you’re outside Canada, you have to apply for a Permanent Resident Travel Document (PRTD) to return to Canada. It is a one-time Visa that grant you access to enter Canada.

Permanent residency of Canada is a person’s legal resident status in Canada of which such person is not a citizen but where they have the right to reside on a permanent basis.
